Headed up by husband and wife Ian and Sheila Brown, the restaurant started to build a glowing reputation and loyal following within weeks of opening in 2010 and since then it has gone on to win stellar reviews from restaurant critics.
Head chef Ian, who has been cooking since he was 15, says: “Our ethos is to cook everything from scratch. Half fine dining, half homely food – everything made with care, skill and from scratch. That’s what really counts.
“It’s a combination of creative cooking honed from years of experience, a menu that offers a good choice but doesn’t overwhelm and service that is friendly but professional.”
